Brasserie Wolf Restaurant
by Esmirada Group of Restaurants

80, Mohamed Sultan Road
The Pier at Robertson #01-13

Located by the Singapore River at The Pier at Robertson, this authentically Parisian brasserie combines a casual and relaxed ambient with the culinary standards and service of a fine dining restaurant. The overall ambient, food service was really a stellar quality.

Total Damage Done : $156.50

Drinks 01 : Coke with Lemon

Rating : Not Required

Just a simple coke with lemon. Had 2 glasses of it. It gave me a total refreshed feel after drinking the hot onion soup.

Drinks 02 : Cranberry Juice

Rating : Not required

She had this Cranberry Juice. Didn't notice any complains of it being too sour, too sweet or etc.

Appetizer 01 : Smoked Salmon with Fennel Salad & Crème Fraiche Dressing

Rating : 7/10

The amount of salmon served was abnormally huge. 3/4 of my stomach capacity was filled with this. But lucky thing it was shared. Thus, only 1.5/4 was filled. The sauce wasn't that great, dill sauce would be better. The pennel salad made me feel like a goat.

What's Left on the Plate : Pennel Salad

Appetizer 02 : Traditional French Onion Soup with Comte Cheese

Rating : 8.5/10

The presentation wasn't that great when it came but never judge a book by its cover ! The waiter was smart to suggest if we wanted to split the soup into 2, but when it was served, we realised that the portion was abnormally huge again ! Wow man. Value for money. The Comte cheese with soaked slice of bread was really great.

What's Left On The Plate : Few drops of onion soup

Mains 01 : Prawns & Hokkaido Scallops
with Skewer Fork-Crushed Potatoes, Light Lemon Sauce

Rating : 9/10

This dish was really zzaweeeesome. The fork-crushed potatoes was really delicious that it made shovel every last piece of the potato. She had this and it left her mouth-watering even till the next morning. The scallops were well done and the tiger prawns were well marinated. The only thing that left me dumbfounded was the strong butter after-taste on the potatoes. Initially it tasted good but soon after it has cooled down, the butter taste was prominent.

What's Left on The Plate : NOTHING !

Mains 02 : Braised Lamb Shank with mashed potatoes

Rating : 7/10

Ordered this dish and was amazed by its huge proportion. It was really a value for money. The braised lamp shank does have a unique taste but the surrounding sauce wasn't that awesome. The mashed potatoes were real authentic mashed potatoes. It isn't made from those powdered potatoes like Aston's. They cooked the mashed potatoes with some melted cheese to give this thick cheesy taste. The overall taste wasn't that zawesome. Wendy's Hokkaido scallops and prawns amazed me more.

What's Left on The Plate : The Olives and definitely, the Bone.

Dessert 01 : Choux Buns Vanilla Ice Cream on Chocolate Sauce

Rating : 9/10

Really loved this dessert. The dark chocolate sauce was perfectly fine. It wasn't too bitter and the choux buns were baked with just the right timing. The ice cream did not melt instantly which gave us enough time to finish all 3 choux buns before it began melting. Simply zaawwesome !
